Cyprus and Lebanon strengthen their cooperation in the field of energy

Ways to strengthen the energy cooperation between Cyprus and Lebanon were discussed by the Energy Ministers of the two countries.

Giorgos Papanastasiou and Joseph Saadi exchanged views emphasizing the strengthening of energy security and the development of electricity infrastructure. Among other things, it was agreed that Cyprus would provide technical assistance and expertise to Lebanon for the modernization of electricity transmission and distribution networks, as well as improving the performance of the relevant infrastructure.
