Dendias: Anyone who threatens Europe cannot participate in the Safe mechanism

If someone threatens the European Union itself, it cannot participate in the mechanism to deal with this aggression, said the Minister of Defense of Greece, Nikos Dendias, about the possibility of Turkey's participation in the Safe regulation.

Mr. Dendias called on all European countries to join the self-evident, as he characterized it, concept of protecting the space and values ​​of the European Union.

Regarding his visit to Cyprus, Mr. Dendias noted that it is an opportunity to discuss and explore prospects for deepening the cooperation between Athens and Nicosia, focusing on the Safe regulation.

Welcoming Nikos Dendias to Cyprus, Defense Minister Vassilis Palmas emphasized that they had the opportunity to exchange views on the geopolitical situation in the wider region.

At the same time, he said, they discussed issues related to the SAFE Regulation, which aims to strengthen the European Union's defense industry and strengthen Europe's defense.

Vassilis Palmas emphasized that the two ministries must have synergies and cooperation in the effort to strengthen the defense armor of Greece and Cyprus, with the aim of defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries.
