The co -chairman of the VOLT Party Andromahi Sophocleus is considered an absolute favorite for receiving a place in parliament in the 2026 elections.
Volt is one of the few parties, along with Elam, which demonstrates a stable increase in popularity from a survey survey. According to the latest data, it is expected that the party will go to parliament, having won at least two places. One of them, according to forecasts, will be received in the constituency of Nicosia, where Andromahi Sophocleus is considered the main contender.
The VOLT party first took part in the elections at the European level in 2024, gaining 2.92% of the vote (10,777 votes). In these elections, Andromahi Sophocleus was a candidate and showed the best result among the party leaders in the number of preferential votes, receiving 3,464 votes. (The largest number of votes among all candidates from Volt was gained by Mikhail Druisiotis, but he is not included in the party leadership.)
On December 15, 2024, Andromahi Sophocleus was elected the co -chair of the Volt.
According to the results of POLS polls for 2025, Volt is expected to overcome the election threshold of 3.6% and will be part of the parliament for the first time.
Andromaha Sophocleus is a political consultant and activist. She graduated from the faculty of political philosophy and theory. In recent years, she worked as a consultant on internal and international political issues. Among its main interests are the growth of extreme right forces, the energy development of Cyprus and the eastern Mediterranean, as well as the Cyprus problem.
Andromaha is the co-producer of the Nicosia Uncut podcast on the ISland Talks platform-the first three-sentious podcast-platform in Cyprus. Actively participates in movements for the reunification of Cyprus, protecting human rights and environmental protection.
