From 5 pm this Friday, the weather is expected to worsen, with the Meteorological Service later issuing a yellow warning in effect from 5 pm until midnight.
As the meteorological officer, Andreas Hatzigeorgiou, told KYPE, the intense weather phenomena will be observed on the western and northern coasts and possibly later on the south, while it is considered more unlikely to affect the east.
After midnight, no severe weather phenomena are expected.
Tomorrow, Saturday, according to Mr. Hatzigeorgiou, the temperature will rise to 20 degrees in the interior and the coasts and to 10 in the higher mountains.
On Sunday, a further drop of two degrees Celsius is expected, with precipitation occurring initially in coastal areas and progressively in mountainous and inland areas.
For the period between Monday and Wednesday, Mr. Hatzigeorgiou said that the forecast shows rain and possibly local storms.
