PwC Cyprus through PwC Foundation Empowers Students Through Business Mentorship and Community Learning

PwC Cyprus through PwC Foundation, in collaboration with Junior Achievement Cyprus, have launched the latest cycle of the “Company Programme” and “Our Community.” These initiatives, which form a core part of the Foundation's Education & Culture pillar, aim to equip students with essential skills while deepening their understanding of business operations and community engagement.

PwC Cyprus has been supporting Junior Achievement since 2014 through the "Company Programme". This partnership expanded in 2020 with the introduction of the interactive educational initiative "Our Community," tailored specifically for third grade students. About three years ago, this collaboration was enhanced to the level of "strategic support", reflecting PwC's increased commitment and engagement.

The "Our Community" program recently kicked off with an online training session for 14 PwC Cyprus mentors. It will be delivered across 20 classrooms throughout Cyprus, benefiting 391 primary school students. Designed for third graders, the program offers an engaging exploration of how communities operate. Supported by trained PwC volunteers and schoolteachers, students will learn about diverse careers, the role of taxes in funding public services, and the importance of voting and financial literacy in everyday life.

Simultaneously, the "Company Programme" is underway, enabling high school students aged 15-17 to establish and run their own businesses. This year, eight mentors from PwC Cyprus are guiding the student teams with their business expertise and mentorship. As part of the program's activities, PwC will once again host a student trade fair at its premises, providing young entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase and market their products and services to the people of PwC.

Commenting on the launch of this year's programs, Philippos Soseilos, CEO of PwC Cyprus and Chairman of the PwC Foundation, stated:

"At PwC Cyprus, we firmly believe in the transformative potential of education and experiential learning. Our longstanding partnership with Junior Achievement Cyprus enables us to nurture a culture of entrepreneurship, civic responsibility, and active learning. These programs demonstrate our commitment to equipping the next generation with the confidence, values, and skills necessary to navigate in an increasingly complex world."

The implementation of both programs showcases PwC Cyprus' dedication to creating lasting societal value. Through the Foundation's Education & Culture pillar, PwC continues to support initiatives that promote inclusive learning, innovation, and future readiness — empowering young individuals with the mindset and resources needed to build a brighter future.
