Zelensky: "A lot can be decided by the New Year" - He announced a meeting with Trump

A meeting with his American counterpart Donald Trump in the near future, as part of negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, announced Volodymyr Zelensky.

In a post on the "X" platform, the Ukrainian President says that they agreed with Donald Trump on a meeting soon, at the highest level. "Much may be decided by the New Year," Zelensky pointedly notes in his post.

Earlier, the Axios news website, citing Ukrainian sources, had reported that the meeting will take place on Sunday, at a tourist resort in Florida, United States.

Already, the revised 20-point peace plan, the content of which Zelensky revealed yesterday, is in the hands of the Russian President for study. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said a phone call between Russians and Americans had taken place, but declined to elaborate on the conversation.
