December 9, 1962
December 1962 went down in the history of Cyprus as a month of destructive storm, which covered Kerinia. The tornado was formed from a thunderstorm cloud hanging over the sea, and reached the ground at about the level of the 30th mile of the Kerinia road-agios Ambrosios. Thanks to the strong wind, the funnel moved to the shore, destroying everything in its path. The newspapers of that time reported thousands of rolled and olive trees torn with the root. The damage was estimated at 70 thousand pounds.
November 3, 1967
A strong storm that formed a tornado caused damage to agricultural vehicles and wounded eight troops in the Trikomo region.
December 22, 1969
Livery, a thunderstorm, a strong wind and a tornado walked along Limassol, in 15 minutes sweeping away everything in its path. Roofs and walls of houses collapsed, pieces of buildings fell on parked cars, crushing them. Two people died in the disaster. Most of the city was flooded. Many enterprises have suffered significant damage.

The storm began on the morning of October 16 from the southwest of Paphos. Gradually, the weather spread to most areas of the island. In the mountainous part of the Limassol region, a hurricane damaged buildings in the villages of Hegios Ferapontas and Wuni. The lightning stab caused a small fire in the Chrysochus policy. Great damage was caused to a car service in Paphos, where vehicles and equipment were injured. In three other cases, equipment was damaged in private houses.
