Minister of Education: Within days the implementation of the evaluation system

The great reform for the evaluation of teachers and the educational work will be implemented in a few days, the Minister of Education announced.

On December 22, it is expected to be approved by the Plenary of the Parliament.

After the end of the meeting of the Parliament's Education Committee, Athena Michailidou emphasized that it is not possible to continue applying the regulations of 1970.

He noted that the amendments promoted by the Parliament do not change the philosophy of the reform. He called on educational organizations to stand by the Ministry, indicating that the Ministry also stands by the teachers.

During today's meeting of the parliamentary Education committee, it was agreed that in three months the relevant regulations will be brought to Parliament for a vote.

The Deputy Chairman of the Education Committee, Chrysanthos Savvidis, stated that the Parliament assumed a great burden and tried to reconcile many differences. He added that it is the right of educational organizations to act as they wish.

AKEL MP, Christos Christofidis, stated that there are too many loopholes in the bill, which, as he said, will be voted on one by one.
