On Monday, December 8, at around 15:20, a serious incident involving an electric scooter occurred in Limassol, resulting in injury to a one-year-old and four-month-old infant.
According to police, a 43-year-old woman was crossing a bike path while holding a baby in the area of the street on October 28 when an electric scooter crashed into her at high speed. After the impact, the mother and child fell onto the asphalt. The baby suffered serious head injuries.
The injured child was first taken to the Limassol Hospital, after which he was transferred to the Archbishop Makarios III Hospital in Nicosia. According to doctors, the injuries received are assessed as serious, but at the moment the child’s condition is stable and there is no threat to life.
The driver of the electric scooter fled the scene. Police are actively searching and investigating the circumstances of the accident.
