References to the Cyprus issue, the reforms and the assumption of the Cyprus Presidency contains the message of the President of the Republic on the anniversary of the proclamation of independence.
Nikos Christodoulides says that we are honoring today the 65th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Cyprus as a result of the colonial yoke after the unparalleled struggle of the people for freedom.
He notes that despite the 1974 disaster the people did not bend.
Referring to the Cyprus issue, he highlights the steps that have led to today's mobility and appointment of a personal envoy by the Secretary -General and a Special Envoy of the European Union.
The President of the Republic also refers to the bold, as he said, and ongoing reforms to modernize institutions, strengthening the rule of law, the fight against corruption, the treatment of immigration, the upgrading of the deterrent power of the homeland and the consolidation of the security.
