Issues of housing policy and the priorities to be promoted on the issue under the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union were discussed by Interior Minister Konstantinos Ioannou with the Housing Ministers of the Netherlands and France.
In his separate meetings with the two European ministers, on the sidelines of the high-level conference on the affordable home, in Copenhagen, Mr. Ioannou discussed extensively the challenges facing all the Member States of the European Union.
Mr. Ioannou informed his counterparts that the aim of Nicosia is to lay the foundations, under the Cyprus Presidency, to adopt a European strategy affordable housing, including sustainable housing policies and incorporate optimal practices of Member States.
