A small breath of hope for the dams, as the Xeros river in Nata began to flow again, albeit at a reduced volume, carrying water towards the Asprokremmos dam and creating cautious optimism for strengthening water reserves.
The Asprokremmos dam, the second largest in Cyprus, like the rest of the island's dams, is below 10% of its total capacity.
From October 1 until today, only 260,000 cubic meters of water have flowed into the dam, a quantity that, according to expert estimates, is expected to flow within the next 24 hours.
