Rules of conduct at extremely high temperature

A new yellow warning will be valid from 13:00 to 17:00 on June 26. As expected, the thermometer column will rise to 41 ° C inside the country. The heat increases the risk of forest fires. How to behave correctly these days?

The meteorological service has released another yellow warning about the heat - the second in the last two days and the second since the beginning of summer. The warning will be valid from 13:00 to 17:00.

In the heat, it is necessary to follow some recommendations so as not to expose your health in danger.

• Avoid staying on the street during warning hours, and even better - from 11:00 to 17:00

At this time, the sun is high, ultraviolet radiation and temperature are maximum. Such conditions sharply increase the risk of overheating, dehydration, sunlight and burns.

• drink more liquids without waiting for a sense of thirst

Regular drinking water helps to maintain normal thermoregulation, blood pressure, and kidney work.

• Wear, free clothes made of natural fabrics

Natural fabrics (linen, cotton) “breathe” and absorb sweat, helping the body cool. Light clothing reflects the sun's rays, and dark - absorbs and enhances the heating of the body. Free cut promotes air circulation and moisture evaporation.

• Be sure to wear a headdress

It protects against a sunny blow - overheating with direct exposure to sunlight on the head, causing dizziness, loss of consciousness and cramps. It is especially important for children and the elderly.

• Cool the body

In the heat, the body actively gives heat through the skin. Wipes and shower contribute to the evaporation of water from the surface of the skin, which naturally reduces body temperature. This helps to avoid thermal stress.

• Do not engage in physical activity in the heat

Any load increases internal heat formation. Physical work and sport in the heat can lead to overheating and dehydration, especially if sweating is disturbed.

• Eat easily - vegetables, fruits, dairy products.

Avoid fat and meat. Such food requires more energy for digestion, which causes increased heat formation inside the body. With severe sweating, the body loses vitamins and minerals along with water. Vegetables and fruits, vice versa, contain water, vitamins and electrolytes, replenishing the loss. Sour -milk products are easily absorbed and supported by intestinal microflora.

• Close the windows and shade the rooms

Direct sun is very heated by air and surfaces in the room. Closing the curtains and windows in hot times, you keep cool in the apartment, especially if you ventilate the room at night when the temperature drops.

It is also important to remember the following:

• In young children, overheating occurs faster, they do not know how to correctly recognize thirst or fatigue. Their thermoregulation system is still being formed. Light baths and shadow are the best solution.

• In older people, a sense of thirst is often reduced, and cooling mechanisms (for example, sweating) work worse. The risk of hypertensive crises and fainting in their heat rises sharply. They may also not feel the deterioration of the condition to the last.

• In pregnant women, the volume of blood and the load on the heart are increased. Overheating can lead to edema, fainting, exacerbation of varicose veins and even a threat to the fetus. Therefore, rest, shadow and water are critical for them.

Meanwhile, the Forestry Department warned of a high risk of forest fires. Earlier this year, the parliament adopted a law that provides for a fine of up to 25,000 euros for arson. The department emphasized that the arson in the forest -park zone is an “offense that entails a severe punishment.” Residents need to behave with caution and "completely avoid actions that can lead to fire."

If you notice fire or smoke, call numbers 112 or 1407.
