A new naval directive on scientific research from the oceanographic vessel "Piri Reis" in the Aegean has been issued by Turkey, with a start of power from tomorrow.
As it is reported, the new NAVTEX is about surface research rather than the seabed, in Turkish territorial waters, but also in international waters, where Greece has the power to issue naval instructions for investigation and rescue.
The Turkish naval directive is a continuation of the previous Turkish Navtex, which was not activated, however, possibly because the Mitsotakis -Erdogan meeting was scheduled on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, which was eventually canceled.
