On Monday, September 29, the Paphos municipality signed a contract with a construction company for the construction of two new museum facilities - the Museum of Natural History and Art of Georgios Kr. Tornaritis and the multifunctional museum, where art collections and historical artifacts will be represented.
The total project cost is 1.8 million euros, and the construction period is 10 months from the date of work, the municipality said.
Architect Andreas Vardas developed a project and his architectural solution.
Museum of Natural History and Art of Georgios Kr. Tornaritis will demonstrate collections that combine exhibits on natural science and art, and a multifunctional museum - a variety of historical objects and works of art.
The city of Paphos, which became the European cultural capital in 2017, continues to actively develop cultural infrastructure, which helps to strengthen its status as an important center of art and history in Cyprus.
