Gaza: Israel 'brake' on unhindered access of humanitarian organizations - Requests details of their employees

A total of 37 humanitarian organizations are affected by the ban on access to Gaza, which is expected to come into effect tomorrow, if they do not forward the names of their Palestinian staff to the Israeli authorities.

As a representative of the Israeli Government told AFP, some of them are involved in terrorism or have relations with Hamas.

For Israel, this new measure aims to prevent "hostile actors or supporters of terrorism" from operating in the Palestinian territories.

The European Union has warned Tel Aviv that the suspension of non-governmental organizations carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip will prevent the distribution of vital aid.

In a post on X, European Commissioner Haja Labib sent a clear message that the law on the registration of non-governmental organizations cannot be implemented in its current form.
