Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's meeting with US President Donald Trump in Florida had strong symbolism but limited political clarity, the Israeli press and analysts say.
The prevailing feeling is that the image of unity and support for Israel has been strong, yet tangible commitments on the critical issues have been lacking - particularly on the "day after" in Gaza.
Accordingly, on the issue of Iran, despite verbally strong support, the "ifs" that accompanied the statements were not what the Israeli leader was aiming for, as pointed out.
Analysts also say that the meeting functioned more as a political message to third parties than as a decision-making discussion.
