European institutions and Athens welcome the Cyprus Presidency of the EU

The institutions of the European Union welcome the start of the Cyprus Presidency with their posts.

The European Council notes that today begins a new chapter.

The President of the Chamber, Antonio Costa, wishes President Christodoulidis a successful Presidency and underlines that he looks forward to close cooperation in the next 6 months, with the aim of a resilient and stronger Europe.

The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, expresses her best wishes to President Christodoulidis and states that she is confident that, under his leadership, Europe can continue to develop as an autonomous Union, open to the world.

He notes that the European Parliament is ready to cooperate with the Cyprus Presidency in the coming months, as a strong and reliable partner.

Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece also expresses congratulations and warm wishes to Cyprus for a productive and successful Cypriot Presidency.

In a post on Platform X, he emphasizes that the Greek government looks forward to working closely for an autonomous Union, open to the world in the interest of the EU and its citizens.
