Emergency in Nicosia: the blade of the electric venturer flew off while working directly in the face of the hostess

A serious incident occurred in Nicosia: about two weeks ago, a fan broke in one of the houses, as a result of which its owner suffered.

According to media reports, the woman sat quietly in the living room, when suddenly one of the blades of the electrical device broke off and struck her face with force. Personnel made immediately after the incident clearly show the damaged part. The Cyprus Association of Consumers, as well as to the Department of Electric Mechanical Services for further verification, was notified of this case.

According to the chairman of the Cyprus Association of Consumers of Marios Druisiotis, such situations are not the first to happen.

The woman purchased a fan just a few days before the incident in the retail store. The device has already been sent for examination abroad to establish whether it was defective, and if necessary, the party’s review may be announced.

Druitis noted that it is almost impossible to identify defects in electrical goods by eye, so when buying it is worth paying attention to the availability of CE marking and Greek instructions.

He also warned from thoughtless orders of equipment via the Internet, where it is difficult to check its quality and safety, emphasizing that the European Commission is already preparing measures to bring individual goods from large online platforms in accordance with European standards.
