Meeting Annita - Han. "Creating momentum to restart conversations"

"We must create the momentum for the resumption of negotiations", emphasized the president of the DISY, Annita Dimitriou, after a meeting with the European special envoy for the Cyprus issue, Johannes Hahn.

He added that yesterday's meeting between the two leaders, in the presence of Maria Angela Holguin, and the joint communique is a step forward.

Mrs. Dimitriou also said that Brussels must have a special and enhanced role in the process, showing creativity with incentives that will maintain the momentum of the effort - and at the same time strictness, when the claims of the other side contradict international law and the accession protocol of the Republic of Cyprus.
