The reform of the licensing sector has made a substantial contribution to the effort to tackle the housing problem, said President Christodoulidis at the State Architecture Awards ceremony.
He stated that the acceleration of the issuance of the necessary permits contributes to the faster construction and inclusion in the market of more housing units and enables citizens to acquire a permanent, privately owned residence, meeting their housing needs.
He noted that the crown of the licensing reform is the introduction of the simplified and rapid process of examination and issuance of town planning and building permits for low and medium risk developments.
