Israel's actions in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip are aimed at imposing "permanent demographic change" on these Palestinian territories, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk said. At the same time, he expressed concerns about ethnic cleansing.
He specifically underlined that the military operations carried out since January 2025 in the northern part of the West Bank have led to the displacement of 32,000 Palestinians.
