Concert inspired by majestic nature

Spring is a particularly beautiful season in Cyprus. For a short while, blossoming flowers are in abundance, fields turn green and nature is simply majestic. With this in mind, the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra presents a special musical evening, in Dali, presenting pieces that are inspired by the beauty of nature and a Norwegian folk legend.

The Majestic Nature concert takes place this Saturday at Dali’s Panorama Movie Theatre at 7pm. Cypriot conductor Andreas Asiikkis will lead the orchestra, and share with the audience some enlightening nuggets about the music.

Featured in the repertoire is Smetana’s Vltava (The Moldau) which is sure to sweep listeners along the river’s shimmering journey, while selected movements from Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony brings to life scenes of rustic joy, turbulent storms and peaceful renewal. Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suites – music composed for the famous play – will delight with its characteristic vivid Nordic colours and unforgettable melodies. Plus, entrance to the concert is free!
