Unidentified people covered the head of the Statue of Liberty in Nicosia with a Palestinian scarf

On Friday, October 10, unknown persons covered the head of the Statue of Liberty in the center of Nicosia with a Palestinian headscarf (keffiyeh).

Photos from the scene of the event were sent to AlphaNews.Live by eyewitnesses. The reaction of passers-by was mixed: some perceived this gesture with indignation, others as symbolic support for Palestine and a possible reference to an agreement and truce in the Gaza Strip.
