The forces of the Israeli army folded along the updated lines, which was confirmed by the US Army.
Until Tuesday, the liberation of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners is expected.
Hamas holds 48 Israeli hostages, of which 20 are believed to be alive.
Israel has published a list of 250 prisoners, who will be released in return.
Following the announcement of the ceasefire agreement, thousands of displaced Palestinians began returning to the Gaza Strip, which has been destroyed after two years of war.
