Israel is stepping up airstrikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon, saying the pro-Iranian group is attempting to regroup and rearm, with the Lebanese government's toleration.
The Israeli air force struck for the second time this week the border south of Lebanon and also the east, noting that it hit, among other things, a training camp.
Despite a ceasefire last year in November, Israel continues to launch attacks at regular intervals.
The strikes come as the Lebanese army must complete by the end of the year the dismantling of Hezbollah's infrastructure between the Israeli border and the Litani River, 30 kilometers to the north.
The organization has been largely weakened since the war, while US pressure on Beirut to complete disarmament is intense.
