Audacity knows no bounds

Audacity knows no bounds

The anger of the AEL people against the Sports Referee has not stopped. No one knows where some people derive such audacity, because the punishment imposed on AEL is completely unfair. That is why the legal department is preparing an appeal. A related announcement states:

The Limassol Athletic Union announces that the recent decision of the Athletic Referee will be appealed within the deadlines set by the KOP Disciplinary Regulations. The legal department of our Association is working intensively on the complete and documented preparation of the appeal, with the aim of defending the interests of the Association within the framework of the prescribed procedure.

At the same time, AEL informs that, following publications that have seen the light of day, it has addressed an official request to the Cyprus Football Federation for the immediate notification of the letter which is said to have been sent by the Police Headquarters to the Federation after the conclusion of the AEL-Apollo football match and which allegedly requests the exemplary punishment of the two Associations based on specific articles of the KOP Disciplinary Regulations. Our Association considers that any document concerning AEL and falling under the competence of institutions must be disclosed in a timely manner, based on the principles of transparency and good administrative practice. Finally, AEL calls on the team's fans to show self-restraint and responsibility, contributing to maintaining calm and unity. Next Sunday at 16:00, at GSP, our team plays an important and demanding match against Olympiakos Nicosia. The massive and intense presence of everyone is imperative, so that we can support the football players and the technical leadership in their effort to reach another victory.
