The General Secretary of AKEL, Stefanos Stefanou, refers to a dynamic that leads to substantial developments in the Cyprus issue, commenting on yesterday's meeting between the two leaders.
Speaking after a meeting with Johannes Hahn, Mr. Stefanou said that AKEL considers it very important that the Greek Cypriot side prepares properly, in order to undertake specific initiatives, in order to implement what the President of the Republic declares for the continuation of the talks from the point where they were interrupted.
It must, he continued, be oriented towards trying to achieve a solution, which will end the Turkish occupation and reunite the country and the people, in the framework of a bizonal bicommunal federation with political equality, as described by the United Nations resolutions.
