A plan to grant home electricity storage by consumers who have installed photovoltaic systems, is being prepared by the Renewable Energy and Energy Source Fund to ensure the autonomy of each household in relation to the storage and consumption of the electricity it produces.
This was stated on the morning itinerary by Energy Minister George Papanastasiou, who also said that it would be extended by the end of 2025 to receive new photovoltaic applications whose connection will be made through the EAC, as it is not expected to be offered offsetting the competing electricity market.
Answering a question, Mr. Papanastasiou said that those in the measurement plan would remain on it until the end of their contract.
