The Police is close to establishing a Directorate for Dealing with Organized Crime, following the standards of Europol and the American FBI, said Chief Themistos Arnaoutis.
Presenting the axes for improving the operational capacity of the Police, with a horizon of 2030, Mr. Arnaoutis said that organized crime cannot disappear. He emphasized, however, that the way of management is important.
The Chief of Police mentioned that the creation of a modern Coordination Center is imminent.
He pointed out that the goal is a modern, European, flexible Police, which will focus on strengthening citizens' security.
Mr. Arnaoutis also referred to the promotion of ways of optimal utilization of human resources and technological upgrading, as well as more rational management of the working time of the members of the Police.
