The 15th anniversary of the Galaxy of Talents has become the brightest season in the history of the festival. The 10th Jubilee Legal Conference was very successful in a new format. In 2024, we continue to change and adapt, maintaining the main thing - the quality, soul and trust of people with whom we communicate at events, on the pages of the newspaper, on social networks.
All that we did this year was to do with the feeling that we are closing one stage and starting the next. We moved to a new office. We held anniversary events. They came up with new formats. And most importantly - they retained what there is a “messenger of Cyprus”: communication with the reader, reliability, live communication. Each step in 2024 was a step forward. Sometimes contrary to circumstances.
February - for children, April - for women, May - for investors, October - for lawyers
The range of our interests has always been wide, we must cover all readers and customers. From the first children's concerts in February to serious discussions on legislation in October - 2024 we conducted, introducing new ideas.
In early April, more than three thousand people gathered in one of the best hotels in Limassol to get acquainted with professionals from the sphere of beauty and health, listen to lectures, participate in master classes, choose something for themselves, visiting exhibition stands of participants. For the first time we added participants in the exhibition focusing on professionals and lectures for them. Thus, they opened a new page in Health & Beauty Forum.
And they spent spring with the traditional Best Invest Congress, which gathered mainly by business leaders related to investments. The anniversary tenth conference Best Legal was appointed on October 10: so that the 10th passes 10.10.
The Galaxy of Talents festival was unusual this year. Firstly, a 15-year anniversary, so a series of concerts took place from February to November. Secondly, for the first time, children's concerts took place in Nicosia. The concept of Galaxy of Talents is to collect 200-250 children from different schools (dance, sports, theatrical) on the same scene, give them the opportunity to look at each other's performances, show themselves not only to their own, but also to “strangers” parents, feel like real artists. Hotally schools cannot rent such large theaters and collect such an audience, and together we can!
In 2024, we had an anniversary season-the 15th. We tried to make it the brightest and most memorable. Thought that the last. My children, for the sake of which it all started, had long grown. A children's project of such a scale is not easy to organize, distracts us from business topics. They wanted to mark and close the project. But it became sorry! So everything went well in 2024! And over the years, the Galaxy of Talents festival did not appear in Cyprus, too troublesome and expensive, no one else takes on. I decided that we would spend another year or two more, and there we'll see.
What is the "Bulletin of Cyprus" writes about?
Since the paper newspaper was released on a quarterly, we chose only the most important “unsykaling” news, which would be relevant for several weeks or months, double -checked, added an analytics element to them. For example, they published a plan for the reforms of President Christolidis, a detailed article on a new exam in knowledge of the policy, economics, history and culture of Cyprus, a list of manuals for single parents. They also talked about new measures to prosecute debtors who did not pay a road fine, announced the announcements of free state courses and instructions for obtaining a state scholarship.
In June 2024, elections of mayors and members of municipal councils, as well as members of the European Parliament, were held. And we talked about who will work in these positions in the next five years.
The new office is drowning in greenery
We loved the old one very much! And in general - a street near the municipal park, on which they worked for more than 15 years. But the owner of the office was adamant: he did not agree to extend the contract, citing the fact that he himself needed an office himself. I had to move out.
We searched for a long time. 6 months. Nothing came across good: either the price is 2-4 times higher than we could pay, or far from our "old" office, and we are used to this area. All employees are convenient. On the central streets there was no parking around, but I did not want to climb far. Since we already do not have such a stream of visitors as before (all communications online), we shot the one that we fell in love. The house we chose with our hearts! Let it not on the main street, but in the city center and 800 meters from the previous one. Even if there are not many parking spaces, but you can always stop before the office. And most importantly - it is so cozy and green! The move, as you know, is equal to two fires: it turned out that we have a huge number of necessary and unnecessary things, where only they were hidden in the last office, as soon as they fit - it is incomprehensible. In addition to the bearings of newspapers and magazines (storing the archive for 30 years) we still have a huge number of props for events. Coped. Moved. Opened a new page in life newspapers.
You can’t change without innovation, you need to change!
It was with such thoughts that we planned the program of the 10th legal conference. We chose the theme of Lawyers Meet Expats, organized a large number of individual meetings of 1x1 and a modified non -playing. To celebrate a decade, they introduced an unusual format-unconference (non-conference), when the content of plenary meetings is not invented in advance, but is formed directly during the event, by the participants themselves. Thus, only issues are discussed that are interesting to those people who are in the hall.
If we talk about conferences in general, then the format has outlived itself. At least in Cyprus. There is a company here that holds more than 300 conferences of the year, the rest of the island companies combined, about 200 more. And it turns out that the business person does not have time to attend all the events where he is called, and yet there are exhibitions, ceremonies, tricks, parties, and anniversaries in the business world. Previously, we could make good money by organizing conferences, but now we’ll be lucky if you close costs. Now conferences have appeared in Cyprus where sponsors give, and participants are invited for free. And it got worse: it’s even difficult to get a quality audience for free for free. Exceptions can be listed per minute-and therefore, as media sponsors, we support just such projects.
And we ourselves, as the organizers, will always be different: each event is prepared so that it is not equal. The highlight of all our projects is that we come up with something new every year, improve, add, change, finalize. The tenth Best Invest passed with great success. But the eleventh will not at all look like him.
