On May 13, in the afternoon, on the municipal beach, Venus in Paphos, two rescuers saved a swimsman who was in trouble in the sea.
At some point, the swimmer began to call for help when he could not cope with the current. The rescuer named Fitos immediately rushed into the water, and his colleague Giorgos coordinated the actions from the observation tower.
The coordinated actions, composure and professionalism of rescuers helped to quickly deliver the victim to the shore. Thanks to their intervention, the tragedy was avoided.
Most likely, the swimsuit fell into a reverse or casting flow - this is a long narrow strip of water, which can pull a person out of the shore and take it into the open sea in just a few seconds.
