Pyatons named Lucifer and Medusa live at the Cypriot at home

In a small pet store in Agia Barbara, the owners breed parrots, hold cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, turtles and even guinea fits. But real pride is two pythons named Lucifer and Medusa.

One of them is Albino, a rare species, characterized by yellow color and red eyes. “We gave them the names mainly according to color and character,” explains the mistress of the serpent Maria Rhodosfenus.

“Our snakes do not hibernate. In winter, they create comfortable conditions for them: in the store, warm places with special rugs are equipped in the store. ”

Pets are fed differently: some eat mice and rats, others-larger prey, such as rabbits. “Each has its own diet - it all depends on the size of the body,” says Maria.

Interestingly, these are not the only animals in the family. In addition to the usual pets, here you can find exotic birds and even swans.

“We have a lot of animals. To be honest, I would also like a bear, but it is banned in Cyprus. ”
