On Saturday, June 29, a tragedy occurred on one of the most lively beaches of Geroskip-28-year-old Kharalambos Komodromos, a resident of this region, lost consciousness during bathing and, despite the efforts of the rescuers, died.
The incident occurred around noon when the beach was crowded with vacationers. The young man suddenly lost consciousness in the water. He was the first to notice other swimmers, who, together with the rescuers, immediately came to his aid. Haralambos promptly pulled out of the sea and began to provide first aid, but he never came into consciousness. The ambulance arrived at the scene, however, despite all attempts to save his life, doctors noted death in the emergency assistance of the general path of pathos.
The death of a young man shocked not only his relatives and friends, but the entire local community. The news was especially difficult by representatives of the Apoel football club, whose hot fan was Haralambos.
“Today, one of the most faithful fans went to meet our brothers in heaven. His invaluable contribution to the Association of Paphos is known to everyone. He was devoted to the ideals of Apoel all his life, he was always on the forefront, ”the Apoel fan club said in a statement.
The causes of sudden death are still unknown. The appointed forensic examination should soon shed light on the circumstances of the tragedy.
