Syrian Kurdish leader Mazloum Abdi has assured he is doing everything possible to prevent a deal with Damascus to integrate Kurdish forces into national institutions from collapsing, at a time when negotiations between the two sides are deadlocked.
The agreement reached last March between the Kurds and the new Syrian authorities provides for the integration of Kurdish institutions into the central government and in particular of their military forces who are called to join the Syrian army.
The agreement was supposed to be implemented by the end of the year, but negotiations have not been concluded.
