Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro says he is open to talks with the United States government on the fight against drug trafficking, oil and possible economic deals.
He also notes that Caracas is ready for American investment, "whenever, wherever and however the United States wishes", adding that comprehensive economic development agreements could be considered.
Maduro points out that Venezuela has assured the United States that it is ready to seriously discuss an agreement to combat drug trafficking.
At the same time, he avoids commenting on the alleged American raid on a Venezuelan port facility, which Donald Trump spoke about, noting that the specific issue will be discussed in the coming days.
