The procedure for transporting animals on an airplane
The transportation of pets in a passenger aircraft is regulated by both international rules and the internal requirements of specific airlines and destination countries. In general, the following procedure applies: small animals, the weight of which, together with the cell, does not exceed 5-8 kg, is allowed to be transported in the cabin of the aircraft, provided that the carrying meets the IATA standards, is well ventilated, has a waterproof bottom and is placed under the seat. Larger animals travel in the luggage compartment, which is equipped with a climate control system. This requires a strong container of sufficient size so that the pet can stand freely, turn and lie.
Transportation is possible only in the presence of the necessary documents: a veterinary passport with current vaccinations, mandatory for the EU countries of the microchip, veterinary certificate or certificate of health status, executed according to established rules. Some airlines have restrictions on the transportation of certain rocks or animal species in the cabin, only service dogs, such as guidelines, which are allowed to fly without restrictions, make up the exception.
