The first yellow warning

The first yellow warning

Cyprus ran into a wave of heat. The temperature will exceed the seasonal norm by 2-5 degrees. Such weather will last until the end of the month.

The meteorological service issued a yellow warning - the first summer and eighteenth for the year. In the internal areas of the island, the air temperature today, June 25, will reach 40 ° C. The yellow warning is valid from 13:00 to 16:00.

The sky will be cloudless. In the morning, a weak wind will blow, no more than 3-4 points. In the afternoon on the southern coast, the wind power will increase to 4-5 points.

The temperature will rise to 40 ° C in the internal areas, to 32 ° C on the west coast, up to 35 ° C on the rest of the coast and up to 29 ° C on the tops of the Troodos.

In the evening, a rare fog and low cloudy will form on the southern and eastern coasts. It will become cooler - up to 23 ° C inside the country, up to 22 ° C on the coast and 20 ° C on Mount Olympus.

On June 26-28, the weather will be clear. The temperature will not change significantly, remaining above the average climatic values. Therefore, new yellow warnings are quite likely.

In the last days of June, a slight cooling is expected with the probability of rain in the afternoon, mainly in mountainous and foothill areas. July will be marked by normal temperatures for this season.
