On September 12, the Elam party made a sharp statement about the attempt to sell the land in Limassol, where the grave and shelter of the leader of EOK Georgios Grivas Digenis are located.
The appeal emphasizes that this place is "sacred, and its historical value is not measured by money."
“We categorically condemn the attempt to sell the land in Limassol, where the grave and shelter of Georgios Gryvas Digenis are located. Any attempt to commercial operation or exhumation is the sacrilege and desecration of victims of all warriors of the most glorious struggle of the Cyprus Greeks, ”Elam said.
The organization also turned to the competent authorities with a call to immediately stop any processes related to the possible sale:
“History and national memory are not sold,” the party emphasized.
