On Tuesday, August 19, the organization of the district self -government (EOA) Larnaki said that she was going to implement a project worth 1.5 million euros aimed at eliminating unpleasant odors from the sewer.
“The purpose of the project is to improve the quality of life of residents and protect the environment,” the statement said.
A new block is installed on wastewater treatment plants using calcium nitrate to neutralize the smell of hydrogen sulfide. The system will be launched automatically to minimize unpleasant odors and avoid excessive use of chemicals.
According to EOA representatives, this will not only reduce costs, but also reduce the negative impact on the environment.
