Cypriot contains about 130 snakes at home and claims that they have become full -fledged members of his family

The 45-year-old Cypriot Socrates Christophore contains about 130 snakes at home and claims that they have become full-fledged members of his family. Moreover, his children are not only not afraid of reptiles, but also sleeping together.

The hobby of Christopher with snakes began as a child in New Jersey, when he once gathered in the forest a brood of Gadyuk, not suspecting their toxicity. The shock of his parents left a deep mark, and the fear of snakes accompanied him for many years. However, having matured, he decided to overcome the phobia and started the first safe snake. Gradually, the hobby turned into passion: over two years, his collection increased to 300 reptiles and even turned on the alligator.

In 2008, due to the economic crisis, Christopher lost everything and was forced to part with the pets. But in 2017, he returned to the hobby again when he bought his two -year -old daughter the first snake. Since then, his collection has reached a huge scale. The man spends about $ 800 a month on caring for pets, calling it “the work of love”.

Children inherited Christophore his hobby: his daughter Arianna holds twenty snakes in the room, the son of Maksimos - two more. “They make lessons or watch cartoons next to them. For us, a snake is part of the family, ”says the father.

Despite criticism, he insists that there is no danger: there are no toxic species among his pets. “Snakes are not monsters, but misunderstood creatures,” Cypriot emphasizes.

According to Christopher, the snakes helped him cope with life difficulties and became a symbol of stamina. “This is not just a story about reptiles. This is a story about the second chance and a lesson for my children: no matter how life knocks down, you can always rise and become stronger, ”he concludes.
