The President of the Republic said he was very pleased and proud of the fact that one of the primary goals of the government, which was the qualitative and further strengthening of the Cyprus registration, has been achieved, increasing in the last two years, approaching 20%.
Given a greeting to the dinner given to the participants at the "Maritime Cyprus" conference, President Christodoulides said that shipping is one of the top priorities of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Earlier, the President of the Republic accepted to the Presidential Palace the Secretary General of the Arsenio Dominguez International Maritime Organization.
During the meeting, Cyprus cooperation issues were discussed with the Organization, as well as the present situation in the shipping sector, in the shadow of geopolitical developments in the region and internationally.
