Demonstrations for Gaza and the activists who are detained in Israel were held during the day in many European cities.
In the Netherlands, tens of thousands of people took the streets of Amsterdam, dressed in red, to call for the end of war in Gaza, with slogans such as "Freedom in Palestine" and "stop the genocide". According to the organizers, about 250,000 citizens participated in this mobilization, while calling on the Dutch government to take action against Israel.
Unlike other European countries, such as France and Belgium, the Netherlands has not recognized the state of Palestine.
Similar rallies of solidarity with the Palestinian people were also organized in other European capitals.
