A new European drug strategy and action plan against drug trafficking was presented in Brussels.
The European Commission is trying to link, in a single framework, security, public health, prevention and international cooperation, sending a message that it will not tolerate the trafficking of cheap drugs in Europe.
In 2023, cocaine seizures reached 419 tonnes, while around 500 synthetic drug laboratories are dismantled every year across the European Union.
