The president of EDEK was informed of Limassol problems

EDEK will promote issues of the Municipality of Limassol as well as other municipalities in the Limassol Region, EDEK President Nikos Anastasiou said after meeting with the Mayor of the city, Yiannis Armeytis and the leaders of the city.

Saying that the problems faced by the Limassol Local Government is known to him, as a former mayor of Polemidia, Mr Anastasiou said that "as EDEK, we should promote, in the Ministry of the Interior and in the Government, issues raised before us and concern all of them."

"One serious problem that exists is the North bypass and this pendulum cannot be perpetuated for so many years, a vital road," the EDEK president said, and assured that "we will try to help the municipalities of Limassol in the best possible way."

For his part, Mr Armewis said that the debate focused on the challenges of cities, "we talked about local government, issues of cooperation with municipal groups, the issues of reform, traffic, climate change and the problems of the city."

"We had the opportunity to exchange views with the President of EDEK, who is aware of Limassol's problems and we speak the same language," Mr Armeitis added, thanking Nikos Anastasiou for his interest.

The president of EDEK then visited the EOA Limassol, where he was informed of the issues that concern him.
