Limassol 'walks for prevention' in 5th Robomarkets - Blue Path for Prostate Cancer

With the central slogan "We are walking for prevention", the Robomarkets-blue route returns for the 5th year to give a pulse and color to the Limassol seaside again. Like every year, thousands of citizens - cyclists, families and children - are expected to participate in this great event for prostate cancer, which will take place on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 09:00 am, starting with the Amphitheater. The Robomarkets-5th Blue Route is also joined in Limassol this year and is under the auspices of the Deputy Minister of Shipping Mr. Marina Chatzimanolis.

The details of this year's Robomarkets-5th Blue Route were presented at a press conference organized by the Europa Uomo Cyprus Association along with the co-organizers of the route, the German Medical Institute and the Kmeaters Cycling Association.

The president of the Europa Uomo Cyprus Association, Mr. Andreas Moses, noted that the blue route has now been established as an institution that unites society around a critical issue: prevention and timely diagnosis of prostate cancer. "With our participation," he said, "we send a message of power and hope to all men and their families."

As part of this year's event, Robomarkets-Blue is enriched with new actions that encourage the participation of young and old, turning Limassol into a great prevention and information celebration. In addition to the two -kilometer symbolic route for pedestrians and cyclists, the actions include Blue Life Chain, an impressive one -kilometer human chain - unique in its kind in Europe - dedicated to prevention of prostate cancer. At the same time, the puzzle of Hope will unite companies and organizations in a ceremony with symbolic pieces that form a collective message of hope. For little friends, the Blue Fun Day will turn the space into a big celebration with activities such as Survivor Games, Tennis Games with Mark Pagdatis, football games with Apollo, Mars and AEL academies, as well as spectacular stilts and juggling appearances.

It is worth noting that this year, the institution's ambassadors are two leading athletes who have honored Cyprus internationally: Mark Pagdatis and Pavlos Kontidis, reinforcing the message of prevention and early diagnosis.

The event also includes the Shave It Event, a symbolic shave of mustache, as well as free PSA tests offered by the German Medical Institute, enabling men to take a significant prevention step. Mr. Stelios Kyriakou, member of the Board of Directors The Europa Uomo Cyprus, presenting these initiatives, stressed: "This year the event is enriched with 'Blue Life Chain' and 'Puzzle of Hope'. We want to create an experience that will leave a powerful imprint of raising and participation. "
