Unjustified delays in the compliance of the Republic of Cyprus with specific European Union guidelines on environmental issues, the Audit Office notes in a special report on the Ministry of Agriculture.
The Auditor General, Andreas Papaconstantinou, says that there is significant dyskinesia of the state to adopt drastic and immediate therapeutic measures where environmental violations and illegalities are identified.
He also makes a reference to St. Thekla and the developments by politically exposed persons with license violations, additions without approval and erection of holiday homes without securing the relevant licenses.
He also points out that the illegal premises in Akamas still exist.
