The Minister of Finance described the contract for the renovation of the former school of Faneromeni as "heterogeneous". He emphasized that both the previous Auditor General and the current one recognized the contract as unfair. Makis Keravnos emphasized that he cannot promote a onerous contract at the expense of the state and taxpayers and pointed out that both the Archbishop and the Mayor of Nicosia have been informed of the data and seemed to understand the situation.
However, he stated that he is ready to promote the proposal of the Rector of the University of Cyprus, which he has already accepted, in order to renovate the premises of the school in Faneromeni and host two research centers with 83 researchers who will work there.
