The Cyprus Veterinary Association announced that animals affected by the fire can receive free assistance in clinics cooperating with the organization. Pets often become victims of fire, and today's tragedy is no exception.
“With the deepest sorrow, we once again observe a destructive fire that destroys the green areas on the southern slopes of Troodos in the mountainous part of the Limassol region,” the association said. And although the exact damage has yet to be appreciated, there is no doubt that many home and wild animals suffered from fire. Therefore, clinics cooperating with the Association will provide veterinary assistance to animals from injured areas for free.
“We express our gratitude to everyone who fights with fire and tries to extinguish it to limit the scale of the natural disaster. First of all, firefighters and forester, but also all groups of volunteers. Among them are volunteers of zoo protection organizations who are engaged in the salvation of animals. Let's hope that this evil will end as soon as possible, ”the authors of the appeal conclude.
