New flights to two European capitals and the closure of one very popular direction are waiting for residents of Cyprus in the near future. We tell how the air traffic of the island with other countries will change.
The Wizz Air airline announced the launch of direct flights from Paphos to Warsaw (Modlin Airport). The new route will open on December 2, 2025 and will be dedicated to the pre -science season. The new direction was made possible thanks to the opening of the Wizz Air base in the capital of Poland. Aircraft will fly to Warsaw from pathos on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Another interesting route from the same low -cost airline is from Larnaki to the capital of Albania Tirana, which has been actively developing its tourism product in recent years. Flights in the tyrant will begin to be executed on October 4 twice a week (on Tuesdays and Saturdays). But there are bad news. From September 1, Wizz Air closes his base in Abu Dhabi, which will entail the abolition of all Lawcoster flights from the UAE capital. Including Larnak’s flights-Abu Dhabi will suffer. The air travel there will be stopped from September 1, almost exactly five years after the launch of this direction.
In general, the airports of Larnaki and Paphos offer more than 150 directions throughout Europe and the Middle East. This was reported by the operator of Cyprus airports Hermes.
Larnaki Airport supports direct communication with large cities in Europe. Condor has opened flights to Frankfurt, Zurich and Dusseldorf, and SkyExpress launched a flight to Iraklion. Cyprus Airways expands its network of directions, flying to Venice, Barcelona, to Perepassen, Rhodes, Santorini and Skiatos. Some carriers return after a long break. So, Helvetic Airways again begins to fly from Larnaki to Bern, Eurowings-to Berlin, Salzburg and Graz, and Saudia in Riyadia. Easyjet added flights to Belfast and Nantes, and TUI in Belfast, Cardiff and Newkasl. Braathens airlines also returned to the Summer Schedule to Gotharg and Helsinki, Smartwings to Prague and Bratislava, Swiss to Geneva and Wizz Air to Vienna.
Paphos airport also shows good dynamics. Ryanair began to fly to Mikonos and Rhodes, to Toulouse and Marseille. Tui added flights to Luton and Noride to her offer, and Transavia launched a weekly air traffic with Lyon.
